Welcome to the Hungarian Reformed Youth Camp! In a world where children spend so much time in front of screens and families are often pulled in many different directions, camp offers something increasingly rare: a full week of faith, friendship, outdoor adventure, meaningful relationships, and joyful Christian fellowship. Whether your child has attended camp before or would be coming for the first time, we encourage you to consider this wonderful opportunity. Come and experience a week filled with faith, friendship, fun, and unforgettable memories. What to expect While the activities are exciting, what makes camp truly special is the Christian community. Campers worship together, sing together, learn together, laugh together, and support one another. Many young people discover new confidence, deepen their faith, and develop friendships that continue long after the week has ended. A Place for Families Too Camp is not only for children and youth. Parents are also welcome to attend and participate, also to help out and enjoy the week. Many families choose to come together, making camp both a spiritual and a family retreat. Adults participate in fellowship, classes, recreation, and the camp community while enjoying the peaceful beauty of Laurelville. Primary Language Spoken at the Camp As we have many second or third generation campers and counselors, the main language of the program is English. This aims to include all who would like to participate from our bi-lingual churches and communities. Our campers stay at Laurelville Retreat Center, a peaceful and picturesque retreat surrounded by rolling hills, woodlands, and outdoor recreational spaces. The comfortable facilities and beautiful setting create an ideal environment for making friends, building faith, and creating lasting memories. Campers will have bed linens and towels provided during their stay. Additional lodging details will be shared as they become available.

What to Bring Please pack comfortable everyday clothing, sneakers, a swimsuit, personal hygiene items, a pen, and a small notebook. Campers should also bring one set of dressier clothing for the Friday Consecration and Closing Service. An English Bible is recommended. If you do not have one, copies may be available to borrow or purchase through your local church. Campers may also wish to bring some spending money for our trip to Ligonier, where there will be opportunities for shopping and enjoying ice cream. Any personal purchases during the trip are the responsibility of the camper. Who can Join Although this is a Hungarian Reformed Church Youth Camp, everyone is welcome to join! Feel free to bring friends and family, even if they do not attend church. All are invited to be part of the camp experience.

Safety First The safety and well-being of all campers is our top priority. Our staff and volunteers are carefully selected, trained, and present throughout all activities to ensure a secure and supportive environment. All activities are supervised, and appropriate safety guidelines are followed at all times so campers can enjoy the week with confidence and peace of mind. Background Check All adults attending the camp over 18 are required to go through a background check, arranged by the camp. Transportation Transportation by individual cars, carpooling or free transportation can be arranged in a limited number with the Trenton church mini bus. We do love and welcome little ones at Camp. Anyone wishing to attend camp with their younger children (ages 0-8) are encouraged to do so. You and your child/ren are welcome to participate in as many of the Camp activities as you can. You are responsible for your younger child/ren at all times. The campers are not to be used as a babysitting service. It is not fair to take away from their Camp experience by having them watch over your child/ren for you. Also, if you are coming as a Counselor, you are expected to BE a Counselor with Campers in your charge.

Members of Our Church The Magyar Reformed Church sponsors the full cost of camp for children and youth who regularly participate in our Sunday School and Youth Fellowship programs. Guests and Community Participants Children, youth, and adults who are not regular participants in church are warmly welcome. Cost: $300 per person for the entire week, including lodging, meals, programming, and activities. Guest Fees and Guidelines Parents and guardians of Campers are welcome to drop in at any time to check in on their Camper. All other Guests must be approved prior to Camp. Email us at hrcyc100@gmail.com with your request. Visitors must pay $10 for each meal they have with us and can purchase a room at the Camp Center for $100 per night.
